Weiss Diameter Measuring Tape from STEWE-LON

The diameter measuring tape is labelled with diameter measurement (pi number scale) as well as circumference measurement (mm scale) so that it can be easily used to obtain the measurements of rounded objects. For this reason, this measuring tape is particularly well suited for use in forestry. The robust steel and plastic compound, from which the capsule is made, together with its precise tape guide, torsion-resistant construction and foldable crank help distinguish this measuring tape from others on the market. The metal axle of the the crank allows for almost effortless work, as it ensures ease of movement when rolling in and out.

This measuring tape belongs to EC accuracy class II, but meets the requirements of class I. For an additional charge, the measuring tape can also be officially upgraded to EC accuracy class I. Please contact us if you require this. Special gradations such as 1/2 cm, 1/16 inch, 1/10 and 1/100 foot, 1/10 inch and 1/8 inch are also available for this measuring tape. Again, please do not hesitate to contact us, should you require this feature.

Tape Material
STEWE-LON measuring tapes are made of steel with a yellow polyamide coating and are 13 mm wide. They are practically indestructible: break-proof, rust-proof and durable. For these reasons, they are very popular with surveyors.

Measurement Starting Point and Ring Material
The building sector typically uses point B as its starting point when taking a measurement. This makes it easier and quicker to measure from a wall as the ring is folded up and out of the way. When point A is used as the starting point for a measurement, zero is clearly visible and precise adjustments can be made. This is particularly helpful in the tool sector. When measuring logs, however, we recommend using either point K (claw) or point H (hook) to ease the measurement-taking process. These can be hooked onto the bark of the log, making it possible to take measurements alone. When working with smooth surfaces, point A is perfectly suited.

Gradation
The measuring tape is labelled with a mm gradation on one side and a pi gradation on the other. This makes it quick and easy to read off both circumference and diameter.
