High-quality measuring tape made from fibreglass. The triangular inclined aluminium frame is lightweight and torsion-resistant. In addition to the more attractive design, the inclined handle offers a better centre of gravity than a straight handle, making the measuring tape easier to hold. The angled blade retraction hole protects the tape from distortion. The metal axle of the the crank allows for almost effortless work, as it ensures ease of movement when rolling in and out. The crank knob is manufactured in such a way that protects fingertips from injury.
This measuring tape belongs to EC accuracy class II, but meets the requirements of class I. For an additional charge, the measuring tape can also be officially upgraded to EC accuracy class I. Please contact us if you require this. Special graduations such as 1/2 cm, 1/16 inch, 1/10 and 1/100 foot, 1/10 inch and 1/8 inch are also available for this measuring tape. Again, please do not hesitate to contact us, should you require this feature.
Tape Material
Measuring tapes made from fibreglass are more flexible than steel measuring tapes and are marked at a tension of 20 N. The measuring tape is 16 mm wide.
Gradation
The cm gradation is particularly quick and easy to read and is therefore widely used. Millimetre gradations tend to be used for more detailed measurements over shorter distances, such as in the tool sector, but are also becoming increasingly popular in the construction sector. Measuring tapes marked with cm gradation also indicate millimetre gradation up to the first 10 cm. Measuring tapes labeled on one side only help prevent confusion and mistakes from being made. Tapes labeled with the same gradation on both sides have the advantage that the measurement can still be read even when the measuring tape is twisted.
Measurement Starting Point and Ring Material
The building sector typically uses point B as its starting point when taking a measurement. This makes it easier and quicker to measure from a wall as the ring is folded up and out of the way. When point A is used as the starting point for a measurement, zero is clearly visible and precise adjustments can be made. This is particularly helpful in the tool sector.
Rings can be made from either plastic or metal. Plastic rings are made of nylon. They are shock resistant and comfortable to hold. The plastic ring type cannot be folded completely onto the tape measure and is slightly larger than its metal counterpart. The metal ring, in comparison, is made of bent nickel-plated steel and can be folded completely to sit flat onto the tape measure. It is even more pressure-resistant than the plastic ring.
Plumb bobs
Our measuring tapes can be paired perfectly with our plumb bobs. Plumb bob F is firmly attached to the measuring tape to form an integrated length measurement, while plumb bobs 1, 2 and 3 are only connected to the measuring tape via a carabiner. This makes it very easy to transport and to store.
